Jan Pieter Haarsma of Orange City passed away at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Sam DeJong Sunday, November 4th, at the age of 76 years. He was laid to rest at West Lawn Cemetery, Orange City, Sioux County, Iowa.
He was born in Holland but came to Sioux County in 1882. He was a half brother of Mrs. G. Kas of Ireton.
