Bert Kroon Dies After Brief Illness

Bert Kroon, 67. died at a Sioux Falls hospital Saturday afternoon Oct. 5. Death followed a brief illless.

Mr. Kroon was born at Alton Dec. 9, 1889. He grew up at Perkins.

He was married, to Josie Jrevenhof at Sioux Center, Jan.10, 1914, and they moved to Line
Springs.
In 1920, they moved to a farm near Valley Springs, S. D. They farmed until 1935 when then
moved to Valley Springs. Here he was hired as a trucker in 1954, and they moved to Rock Valley in 1955.

Mr. Kroon was a member of the Reformed church at Rock Valley. He was a deacon in the Valley Springs Reformed church for four years.

Services, under the direction of the Miller Funeral home, were held at the Valley Springs church Tuesday, Oct. 8.

Survivors are: Four sons, Henry, Jack and Marvin of Sioux Falls, S.D. and Harold of Key West FL; A daughter, Mrs. Raymond Van Berkum, Rock Valley, IA. 6 grandchildren and a brother Henry of Colman, S.D.
