MALTA FEVER CAUSES DEATH

R. De Groot Only 25 Years of Age; Funeral Wednesday

A number of friends and relatives from here attended the funeral services for the late Reindert De Groot held at the Reformed Church at Middleburg last Wednesday afternoon. Reverend Douwstra of Hull and Reverend Mansen conducted the services.

Mr. De Groot died at the home of his brother-in-law, Mr. Will Van Oort, near Middleburg on Sunday afternoon of Malta fever and cancer of the glands.

He was born at Matlock, this county, 1in 1909 and was 25 years of age at the time of his death.

In 1932 he married Johanna Muilenburg, who, with a two year old son, John Marion, survives him.

He is also survived by his father, C. De Groot, of Muskegon, Michigan, by a sister, Mrs. John Moore of Muskegon, and by two brothers, Gerrit of Muskegon and Cornie of Hull, Iowa.
