Johannes Buurman died Monday afternoon at the age of seventy three years. He suffered a long time. Deceased was born at Apeldoorn Netherlands and came to this country in 1878. He was married to Diana Lubberton in 1880. The couple lived on a farm one mile east of here and moved to town about five years ago.

His departure is mourned by his wife and two children, Johannes Buurman living east of town and Johanna Wilhelmina Buurman, Mrs. Albers southeast of Alton. Funeral services were held at half past one at the house and two o’clock in the Frist Reformed church.
