Mrs. William J. Grotenhuis of Sioux Center Called To Great Beyond

Mrs. William J. Grotenhuis of Sioux Center passed away on Tuesday morning at the Sacred Heart Hospital in LeMars. Her little baby, 3 days old, preceded her to the Beyond by a few hours. The immediate cause of death was laryngitis.

The funeral services will be held this Saturday afternoon at 1 :00 o'clock from the house and 1:30 from the church of Sioux Center.

The mother is survived by the grief stricken husband and two children, eight and four years old. Six brothers and six sisters also survive the absent member of the family.

Mrs. Grotenhuis before her marriage was Miss Hattie Stuurop. She was a beloved member of the Pennings family, with whom she was brought up and numbered her friends in the Orange City and Sioux Center communities by hundreds. News of her passing came as a severe blow to each place.

She was married ten years ago to William J. Grotenhuis and was 38 of age at the time of her death. The heartfelt sympathy of hundreds is extended to the family this great lost.

From a distance the relatives called home are the two brothers, Bert and Marion, who attend college at Holland, Michigan, a sister Mrs. William Rozeboom of Ottumwa, Jake Peelen, Mart and William Peelen and Alyda Den Herder all of whom wore at Hope College.
