Mrs. Cornelius Groendyk died Friday at the age of seventy-two after suffering for years from cancer of the stomach.

Mrs. Neeltje Groendyk came to this country with her husband in 1867 and settled at Fulton, Illinois, from where they moved to Ahston, Iowa.

Some years ago they moved to Newkirk and have been residents of Orange City since leaving Newkirk.

Mrs. Groendyk leaves a husband and six children, J. Groendyk of Hospers, C. Groendyk of Newkirk, Mrs. W. Van Stryland of Bemis, South Dakota, Mrs. R. Brunsting of Hull, Mrs. G. Muyskens and Mrs. G. Van der Meulen of this city.

The funeral was held Monday afternoon at the Christian Reformed Church.
