The funeral of Mrs. Yockey, a former resident of Hull was held here last Wednesday forenoon at 10 o’clock. The body arrived Tuesday evening from Emmetsburg, Iowa, accompanied by the mourning relatives and was taken to the Weir and Beckman undertaking parlor, from where the funeral took place Wednesday morning to Hope Cemetery, where she was laid to rest beside the remains of departed--love ones. Reverend S.L. Chandler, Dean of Morningside College, Sioux City, Iowa conducting the services at the grave.

Belinda C. Okey was born in Woodsfield, Ohio, in 1835. She was married to Charles Yockey in 1852 at Stafford, Ohio, where she made her home until the death of her husband in 1895. Eight children, all living, one son and seven daughters survive her, six of the daughters being present at the bedside of their mother when she passed away, the other, who live at a distance not being able to be present at the funeral.

Since the death of her husband Mr. Yockey has made her home with her daughter Mrs. Losey, Mr. Losey being for many years the station agent at this place and who for the past 13 years held the same position at Emmetsburg. She has for the past five years been a helpless invalid.

The following are the names of the daughters and other sorrowing relatives who attended the funeral: Mrs. W. Losey and her husband, Mrs. G.H. Ireland and her husband, Mrs. W.B. Swafford and husband, Mrs. J.S. Duncan, Mrs. Grisell and Mrs. W.G. Wilkinson and husband, and Mr. and Mrs. Watson of Sioux City, and John and Edward Yockey.
