Funeral services for Mrs. Grau, who passed away at the Hawarden Hospital last Monday morning after a major operation, were held at the Presbyterian Church at Ireton last Wednesday afternoon. Reverend Noel Orcutt, pastor of the Associated Church of Hawarden, was in charge. Burial was made in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Stella Mae Brown, daughter of George and Mary Brown, was born November 16, 1893 on a farm near Ireton. On March 5, 1913, she was united in marriage to Roger Merle Grau. They lived on a farm north of Ireton. To this union were born four children, one of whom died in infancy.

Surviving are her husband and three children, Miss Irene, Dwayne and Mrs. Fred Imbrock. Her father, George Brown, one brother, Harry Brown of Delhi, Minnesota, and four sisters, Miss Grace Brown, Mrs. Delbert Day and Mrs. Ora Grau, all of Ireton, and Mrs. Spencer Plumb of Hudson, III, also survive.

Those attending the services from a distance were Harry Brown of Delhi, Minnesota, Mrs. Spencer Plumb of Hudson, Illinois and Mrs. Alex Brown, Howard Brown, Mr. and Mrs. Roscoe Brown, Mrs. Marvin Smith and Miss Margaret Brown of Paulina, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Kline, Mrs. Roy Kline and Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Barger of Gladbrook, Iowa, Mrs. Minetta Brown and Mrs. Emma Grau of Rock Valley, T/Sgt. And Mrs. William Wangen of Sioux City, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Grau and Jacquelyn of Alvord, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Grau, Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Grau and Neva Jean Mitchell of Le Mars, and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Brooks and her sister of Lake Andes, South Dakota.
