Sioux County Index September 7, 1923
Louise Zorn

Mrs. Louisa Zorn, nee Klein, was born on the 21 day of August 1850 in the Province of Wuertemberg, Germany and passed away at the home of her son Robert north of town, Monday August 27th. At the age of twenty-three years, on the 3rd of October 1873, she was married to Wm. Franz Zorn. Ten years later they together with their four children
came to America, and located at Rock Valley, where Mr. Zorn followed his trade of painter until in 1891 when they moved to their farm near Doon, Iowa. They farmed until in 1901 when they moved into Doon and later in 1911 to Rock Rapids.
Mr. Zorn died six years ago on the 29th day of August, and since his death the subject of this sketch made her home with her son Robert. She suffered much for over ten weeks previous to her death and from the beginning it was her conviction that she would not recover, but it was also her firm conviction even unto the end, that "Whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: Whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's." She was seventy-three years and six days old.
Mrs. Zorn is survived by her four children: Robert Zorn, Lena Seaman, Mathilda Krueger and Augusta Glissman; eleven grand-children and one great grand-child. The Index joins the many friends of the family in extending sincere sympathy.

(Also the Sioux County Cemetery Index lists her as buried at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery in Hull, IA)
