Arthur F. Gillmann, age 84, of Sioux City, died Sunday, April 7, 1991, at his residence of a sudden illness.

Services were held Wednesday, April 10, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sioux City. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery in Akron. Visitation was held at Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel in Sioux City.

Mr. Gillmann was born July 27, 1906, in Madelia, Minnesota. He lived in Akron before moving to Sioux City, where he had been a longtime resident. He married Anna El Claassen November 28, 1934, at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Akron. She died December 4, 1985. He owned a Sinclair Station in Merrill and managed Council Oaks Stores for 12 years. He owned and operated Gillmann Trailer Sales for 21 years, retiring March 26, 1991.

Mr. Gillmann was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Sioux City. He was a member of Tyrian Lodge 508 AF&AM, Sioux City Scottish Rite Bodies, Abu Bekr Shrine Temple and High Twelve Founders Club 1.

Survivors include a brother, Paul Gillmann of Rock Rapids; four sisters, Mrs. Luise Linderkamp, Mrs. Elmer (Clara) Jacobs and Mrs. Florence Kramer, all of Charles City, and Mrs. Verna Lehmann of Akron; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters, Emma, Agatha, Emil, Esther, Walter, Herbert and Hilbert.

A memorial has been established in his name with Trinity Lutheran Church in Sioux City.
