FUNERAL OF CHARLES GIBSON HELD IN HULL

The funeral of Charles S. Gibson was held in the American Reformed Church of Hull last week.

Mr. Charles S. Gibson, 78, was born June 9, 1882 at Fairfax, Iowa. He was united in marriage to Grace Jividen at Onawa, Iowa in 1903. To this union two sons were born. Floyd in 1904 and Glenn in 1905. Glenn passed away March 8, 1959.

Upon arriving in Hull in 1904, Mr. Gibson first worked as a farm hand for a few years then was employed on a drayline in Hull for 11 years, then in 1918 he became a janitor for the Hull Public Schools, a position he held for 41 years, retiring toward the end of 1948 due to health conditions.

Mr. Gibson’s parents, two brothers, and a sister preceded him in death.
