Death: October 4, 1958Larry Gerritson. 12-year old Rock Valley seventh grader, was killed Saturday when his bicycle was struck by a car on Highway 18.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 1 00 p.m. from the funeral home and 1:30 p.m. from the Calvin-Christian Reformed Church. The Reverend Milton Doornbos officiated. Burial was in Valley View Cemetery.
Seventh grade classmates of young Gerritson were dismissed form school in order to attend the funeral.
The youth is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Richard and Florence (Wanningen) Geritson; two sisters, Mona and Denise; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Arie Gerritson of Rock Valley and a maternal grandfather, Gerrit Wanningen of Sioux Center.
