Funeral services for Verlin James Geels, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Geels, were held at the Christian Reformed Church in Ireton Saturday afternoon. Reverend Paul Ouwinga officiated. Burial was in the West Lawn Cemetery, Orange City, Sioux County, Iowa.
Verlin James died in the Sacred Heart Hospital in Le Mars last Thursday following an operation for a malformed stomach.
He was taken ill last December. He returned home when he seemed improved. He again was taken to the hospital shortly before his operation.
Verlin was born November 1, 1947.
Besides his parents, he is survived by seven brothers and sisters.
