Funeral services for William F. Gayer, 65, were held Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 P.M. from Peace Lutheran Church with Reverend Alfred Kaupins officiating.

At 7:30 P.M. prayer service was held at Porter Funeral Home Tuesday evening. Pallbearers were Arthur Klein, Lloyd Gayer, Fred Gayer, Robert Klein, Bernard Gayer and John E. Miller. Interment was in Peace Lutheran Cemetery, Rock Valley.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Karl, who died in infancy, and a sister, Bertha.

Survivors include two brothers, Charles F. of Rock Valley and Arthur of Inwood. One sister, Mrs. Walter A. Moore, Rock Valley.

Mr. Gayer died Sunday August 28 at the Sioux Center Hospital where he had been a patient for ten days.

He was born December 21, 1899 in Plato Township, Rock Valley, and resided in the territory all of his life. He was the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Gayer. He was baptized in youth and was confirmed in the Peace Lutheran Church of which he was a member.
