Mont Fullerton, 76, long time resident of this vicinity, died at the Hawarden Hospital Tuesday night. He had undergone surgery Monday morning for the removal of gall bladder stones.

Mr. Fullerton was born November 27, 1880, at Avalon, Missouri, a son of Gill and Laura Fullerton. At. The age of 17 he went to Ireton and worked on a farm. Later he took up the butchering trade, following which he worked in various butcher shops.

On July 6, 1906, he married Maud Schott at Ireton. They farmed in the Ireton and Hawarden vicinities all but four years which they spent in North Dakota. Fourteen years ago they purchased a home and retired in Hawarden.

He was preceded in death by three children. Survivors include the widow and a son, Harley, at home; a daughter, Mrs. Hellmuth Schwiesow; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, all of Hawarden, and a half-brother, Star Fullerton of Austin, Texas.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o’clock Friday afternoon at the Barnard Funeral Home, Reverend John C. Thorns officiating. Burial will be in Ireton.
