Gertrude Full, Granville, Iowa, age 95, died Saturday, December 7, 2002 at Holy Spirit Retirement Home in Sioux City, Iowa. Her funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 11, 2002 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Granville, Iowa. Msgr. Kenneth Seifried will officiate. Burial will take place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Granville.

Gertrude was born May 7, 1907 to Joseph and Angeline (Grengs) Byrne in Taunton, Minnesota. Gertrude was raised and educated in Taunton, Minnesota. She married Clemens F. Full on May 12, 1925 at Canby, Minnesota. They farmed in Minnesota for several years before moving to a farm near Granville. Clemens died May 6, 1971. Gertrude continued to live on the farm until moving to the Holy Spirit Retirement Home in Sioux City on December 13, 1996.

She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and the Church Guild.

Survivors include three daughters, Audrey and her husband Paul Arnould of Winnebago, Illinois, Anita and her husband Roger Gaswint of Sioux City, Iowa, Sandra Penning of Gunnison, Colorado; Four sons: Leslie and his wife Shirley of Cleghorn, Iowa, Lloyd and his wife Donna of Sioux City, Iowa, Allen of Delboit, Wisconsin; 24 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great -grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Jake (Bernice) Kloos of St. Paul, Minnesota; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Roland (Nellie) Byrne of Ghent, Minnesota; one brother-in-law, Tom Wallace of Fulton, MS.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three daughters, Clarice and Joyce both in childhood, Mary Ellen in infancy; one son, Kenneth J.; one grandson, Michael Arnould; three brothers, Richard, Wallace and Roland Byrne; one sister, Mrs. Tom (Donna Marie) Wallace.
