Agatha "Geet" Boone, 88, of Sheldon, died on Friday, June 22, 2012, at Sanford Sheldon Hospital in Sheldon. The funeral service was on Tuesday, June 26, at the Andringa Funeral Home in Sheldon, Rev. Marcus Moffitt officiating. A graveside service also took place on June 26, at Newkirk Cemetery in Newkirk. Visitation was Monday, June 25, at the Andringa Funeral Home.

Agatha "Geet" Eleanore Boone was born on Feb. 29, 1924 in Council Bluffs. She was the daughter of
Gustave and Rosa (Caracciolo) Rindone. She lived her youth in Council Bluffs and attended Iowa School for the Blind in Vinton. After high school, Agatha was accepted to go to Coe College.

She was united in marriage to Bernard Lloyd Boone of Sheldon on Oct. 5, 1946 in Council Bluffs. They
lived in Marion before moving to Sheldon. Agatha was a homemaker. She babysat and also taught piano lessons. Her greatest aspiration was to be a great wife and mother and succeeded at both. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Sheldon, where she was a Sunday school teacher, pianist, sang in the church choir and wrote materials for the Christmas programs. Agatha wrote poetry and loved music. She played the piano, violin and accordion. She liked to read Braille rather than listen.

Survivors are her husband of 65 years: Bernard L. Boone of Sheldon, daughter and son-in-law Audrey and Robert Winter of Boyden, two sons and daughters-in-law. Daniel and Lisa Boone of Glenwood, Timothy and Lisa Boone of Belleville, IL., nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law Paul and Obie Rindone of Council Bluffs. Her parents, daughter, Fredrica Rose, son, David Paul, and brother, Benedict Rindone, all preceded Agatha in death.

Andringa Funeral Home of Sheldon was in charge of the arrangements.
