The home of Mr. and Mrs. John Bolks southwest of Hull, was saddened last Saturday morning by the
death of one of their small children, with a case of undeveloped pneumonia. Funeral services were held from the American Reformed church of Hul!. Rev. Du Boies officiating, and interment was made in Hope cemetery.

It is sad to see a child in early youth cross that great divide which leads to heaven and be separated from the arms of their fond parents, but they can live and be consoled with the thought that they have passed to a better world, where illness and pain have never existed. Mr. and Mrs. Bolks have the sympathy of the entire community in this their sad hour of bereavement.

Note: Mildred Ruth Bolks is listed in the Sioux county Iowa headstone index as born 15 May 1915 and died 26 Apr 1917 daughter of J and R (John and Ruth) buried Hope Cemetery at Hull IA.
