Mrs. Jane Adriana Jongewaard Bogaard was born 1853 and died 4 Sep 1922 buried West Lawn Cemetery Orange City IA as listed in the Sioux County cemetery headstone index.

The obituary was printed in Dutch. The main parts translated read:
After a long illness of diabetes and cancer Mrs. Dirk Bogaard died Monday night at 68 years and 6 months.

Adriana Jongewaard was born at Pella IA 5 March 1853. In 1872 she came with her parents to Sioux County IA and lived on a farm north of Orange City. In 1878 they were married by Rev. Buursma.
There were seven children, a daughter died at 8 years of age. The living children are: Mrs. Jeanette VerSteeg of Orange City, Mrs. D. Sterrenburg of Platte SD, Arie of Sheldon, Albert and Nicolas at home on the farm and Miss Winnifred. There are 12 grandchildren. Four brothers, Ring and Anthony of ND, Tuenis of Elk River MN, and John of Orange City. Sister – Mrs. J. D. Baas of Marion ND.

The funeral is Thursday at 2 O’clock at the first Ref. Church of Orange City with Rev. Engelsman officiating.
