Fred Bertram born 1840 died 1888 St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery Ireton IA. Source WPA index.
There was no obituary found in the Sioux County papers.

The 1885 census of Reading township lists Bertha Bertram widow born Aug 1846 Germany, the 1925 Iowa census list her father as Fred Flethmann. Children listed were Fred, Charles, Minnie, Earnest, Anna, Henry and William. They came to the USA in 1881.
