Aart Franken senior, who has been failing in health for several weeks, passed away on Monday afternoon at five-thirty. Deceased was nearly seventy five years old. He was married to Elbertje Vander Pol Franken and they had three children: Evert, Aalt, and Hendrick.

The funeral services were held this Friday afternoon and were conducted by Reverend W.P. Van Wyk. He was laid to rest at Memory Gardens, Sioux County Cemetery, Sioux County, Iowa.
