Maria Benton was born 1859 died 8 Jan 1892 at 32 yrs and 6 months, wife of G. S. buried in Pleasant Hill cemetery Ireton IA. See the obit of George for more family details. No obit could be found in the papers on line in 1892.
A well sourced report on ancestry.com has Maria A. Kidd born 20 Jun 1857 Ohio died 8 January Ireton IA. She was married to George Stillman Benton 1858-1922. Her parents were William Walter Kidd 1832-1913 and Elizabeth E. Fenner 1836-1862. They had two children Grace Benton 1885-1975 and Irene Benton 1892, born same year her mother died. George then married Maude Milard 1898-1959 and they have several children.
