A sad accident happened at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. Van Der Schaaf last Friday afternoon. Their eleven months baby managed to get hold of some kerosene which it drank and after having directly summoned medical help which proved of no avail, it died a few hours later. The feeling of the parents can be imagined. The sympathy of the community was seen at the burial last Monday when a great concourse of people attended to show their sorrow in the loss which these good, worthy young people sustained.
