Funeral services were held Sat. for Mrs. John Kroon, 78 in the Doon Reformed Church with the Rev. Paul Trompen officiating. Mrs. Kroon died Wed. at the Sioux Center hospital.

The Kroons came to the U.S. in 1910 and settled in the Hull-Boyden area, later moving to Steen, MN. They moved to Doon in 1946.

Survivors include her husband, John and her sons Edward of Salt Lake City, Louis of Hospers, Herman of Steen, John of Fairmont, MN. and Dick of Salt Lake City. Also surviving are 21 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Burial was in the Hillside Cemetery near Doon.
