Anna Christine Belling
The many friends of Miss Anna Belling were grieved to learn of her death, which occurred on Tuesday afternoon at 4:15, at one of the local hospitals. The young lady had been afflicted with a serious stomach trouble since the age of 14, and for the past 22 years her had been filled with constant suffering. Her condition had baffled the skill of the local physicians and others who had treated her, and as a last resort she underwent an operation last Wednesday, Sept. 13th, with the hope that some relief might be obtained but she gradually grew weaker and death came as a relief from her sufferings.

Her death was a shock to her family and friends who had hoped that she would be restored to health and strength after the operation. She bore her sufferings with a patience and resignation that were an expression of the beautiful Christian character she possessed, and although she very rarely left her home, she had many friends who loved her for her cheerful, sunny disposition and pleasing personality. She devoted much of her time to crocheting, embroidering and other needlework during
the years that she was confined to her home.

Anna Christine Belling was born at Hampton, Rock Island county, IL., on the 13th day of October, 1879, and at the time of her death was 36 years, 11 months and 6 days old. She came to Iowa with
her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Belling, in 1882, residing on a farm in Grant township about 29 years, and while living there united with the German Lutheran church retaining her membership in hat church until her death. Five years ago last spring the family moved to Sheldon, purchasing a residence on south Second Avenue, where they now reside.

She leaves to mourn her departure, her parents, four sisters and two brothers They are Mrs. J . Stutzman and Mrs. F. Conner of Boyden, Andrew Belling of near Sheldon, Henry Belling, of
Glenwood, Minn., Mrs. W. Beckman of Chandler, Minn., and Miss Marie Belling of this city.
Funeral services were held at the Belling residence at 1:00 o'clock Friday afternoon in charge of Dr. J . J. Bushnell, pastor of the Methodist church. The body was taken to Boyden for burial beside a niece of the deceased. Rev. Megchelsen, pastor of the United Presbyterian church of Boyden, assisted with the services at the grave.

The whole community sympathizes with Mr. and Mrs. Belling and the brothers and sisters in their bereavement. —Sun.
