Laid to Rest
Tuesday, the remains of Ernest Beckman arrived from New York City and were interred in the German Evangelical (St Paul’s ) cemetery northeast of Hull. He was taken sick the first of week before last and died on April the 9th after having been sick but three or four days of pneumonia.

Ernest was a bright, capable young man of 24 years of age and was working for an electrical engineerint firm, with exceedingly good prospects for the future.

He leaves a mother, two brothers, John and peter and a sister Mrs. Mary Falch, and a host of relatives and friends to mourn his early taking away. The Index counts itself as one of the many friends that extend sympathy to the bereaved family.
