J.M. Tatje was called to Sioux City on account of the death of Floyd Fassett, his brother-in-law, who was employed in the Swift Packing Plant the past six years.

Funeral services were held at the local Reformed Church, conducted by Reverend TeSelle. He was buried at Greenwood Cemetery, Matlock, Sioux County, Iowa.

He was born to Henry P. Fassett and Gertrude (Wise) Fassett. He had four brothers and sisters: John, Fred, Florence, and Edna.
