Hawarden, Iowa~ Davis Neil Westover, 65, of Hawarden, Iowa died on Sunday, September 25, 2016 at the Hillcrest Health Care Center in Hawarden.
   Memorial Service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 29, 2016 at the Porter Funeral Home in Hawarden with Rev. Michael Boothby officiating. Burial of the cremated remains will be in the Eden Cemetery at Hudson, South Dakota. Visitation with the family will begin at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the Porter Funeral Home.    Davis Neil Westover was born March 3, 1951 to Lillian (Anderson) Westover and Anthony (Tony) Westover in Hawarden, Iowa. Davis remained in Hawarden all of his life.
   He enjoyed listening to music and collecting it. His favorite groups include Lady Antebellum and Mavericks and also 50’s music. He would sit outside by his home and listen to his own “Juke Box” with family and his set group of friends, joking, laughing, and having good times with all of them around. He also collected Bart Simpson, Dukes of Hazzard cars and stuff. He loved his guns and holster collection too. Davis went target shooting and enjoyed some fishing. He enjoyed watching westerns and other movies. He had to watch his soap opera, “The Young and The Restless” on a daily basis. He loved horses and collected horse things as well.
   His survivors include 2 sisters, Dorothy Harward of Sioux City, Iowa and her families and Marcella Brandhagen of Hawarden and her families; 2 brothers, Donald (Christine) Westover of Blair, Oklahoma and their families and Merle (Judy) Westover of Hawarden and their families; 2 aunts, Mary Nelson of Canton, South Dakota and Marcella Wright of Norman, Oklahoma; many nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
   Davis was preceded in death by his parents; an infant brother; sister, Evelyn Hendrix; his grandparents on both sides; a nephew, Elvis Boyer; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
