Rock Valley, IA: Henry Wynia, 57, of Rock Valley, died Saturday, August 27, 2016 due to injuries sustained from an accidental fall. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 31, at 10:30 a.m. at Calvin Christian Reformed Church of Rock Valley with Rev. Gideon Wamala officiating. Burial will follow at Valley View Cemetery of Rock Valley. Visitation with the family present will be Tuesday, August 30, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Calvin Christian Reformed Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Rock Valley or Sioux Center Christian Schools. 
 
Henry Leroy Wynia was born to Henry and Johanna (Landegent) Wynia on May 4, 1959 in Sioux Center; the youngest of four boys. Henry attended Rock Valley Christian Grade School and Western Christian High School. He married Ann Vermeer on March 14, 1980 in Sioux Center. He worked for Farmers Coop Society, Sioux Feed Company, and custom-fed cattle and hogs.
 
Henry leaves behind a legacy of a servant’s heart. Known for his selflessness, he freely gave of himself to anyone in need. A devoted follower of Jesus, his life was a testament to what faith, hope, and love looked like in action. He delighted in spending time with his kids, grandkids, and his family.
 
Left to cherish his memory are his wife Ann of 36 years; two sons: Ryan (Amy) of Chicago, IL and Kyle (Ashley) of Sioux Center, IA; daughter Kay (Daniel) Moore of Rock Valley, IA; ten grandchildren: Ellie, Asher, and Vivian Wynia; Camryn, Gavin, Jaelyn, and Boden Wynia; and Kelcie, Johanna, and Alexander Moore; three brothers: John (Jean) of Doon, IA, Wilmer (Wanda) of Woodland Park, CO, and Dennis (Darla) of Rock Valley; mother-in-law Loretta Vermeer of Sioux Center, IA; two brothers-in-law: Marlin Vermeer of Arvada, CO, and Marty (Jennifer) Vermeer of Maxwell, IA; two sisters-in-law: Marcy (Waylon) Marvin of Davis City, IA, and Linda (Dan) Gould of Boone, IA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents, father-in-law, mother-in-law, grandparents-in-law, and his friend Chris Dragstra.
