Mike Streff died at his home at White Rock, S.D., of Bright's disease on Monday July 15th. Mike Streff was born on the Streff homestead near Alton on March 31st 1873. In 1898 he was united in marriage to Miss Agnes Meyners and that same year they moved to South Dakota. Deceased is survived by his widow and five children. He is also survived by his father Mat Streff of Alton, four brothers and one sister---Peter of Alton, Joe of Ellsburg, Wash., and Martin, Felix, Al and Miss Marie of Alton. The funeral services were held on Wednesday from the Catholic church at Dumont, S.D. where interment was made. Peter, Martin and Felix Streff and Peter Frantzen attended the funeral.
