Nicholas Hoffman, one of the pioneers of Plymouth county, died at his home in LeMars on Friday of last week at the age of 82 years. Deceased, who was the uncle of Mrs. John Homan, was well known to many Alton people. A daughter, Mrs. Peter Mich, resides at Granville. The funeral services were held at LeMars on Monday several from Alton attending.
