Mrs. Ulbe Eringa passed away Saturday morning, May 31 at 11 o'clock in an Orange City Hospital at the age of 68 years, 5 months and 6 days. Her death was caused by cancer of the stomach. She was ill for about a half year and had been in the hospital for 3 weeks.

Mrs. Eringa was the former Maaike Rypstra and was born December 25, 1872 in Engelum, Friesland, the Netherlands. On May 20, 1893 she was united in marriage to Ulbe Eringa at Orange City. After living 1 year at Hull, they moved to Orange City. One daughter, Dora, missionary to Japan, preceded her in death in February, 1936 at the age of 39.

Mrs. Eringa was a member of the First Reformed Church of Orange City and of the Senior Ladies Mission Society of that Church.

Survivors include her husband and 5 children: Grace, Mrs. John Vander Wey of Crookston, Nebraska, Jessie, Mrs. Edwin Isaak of Hillsview, South Dakota, Pierre of Springfield, South Dakota; Thyrza, Mrs. Herman Harmelink of Hollandale, Minnesota, and Alys, Mrs. William Beltman of Orange City; 1 brother, Hedger Rypstra of Dak Harbor, Washington; 2 sisters, Mrs. T. De Roos and Mrs. Thys Bakker both of Springfield, South Dakota and 13 grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon at 1 o'clock at the home and at 1:30 in the First Reformed Church with Reverend Mr. H. Colenbrander in charge. Reverend Mr. B. D. Dykstra assisted. Burial was made in the Orange City Cemetery.
