Johanna Baas born 1834 died 18 Oct 1916 buried Presbyterian cemetery Hospers IA as listed in the Sioux County cemetery index. 1900 census of Floyd Township Sioux County lists Johanna Baas 66 born May 1834 Netherlands came in 1884 married 1879, husband was Nanny Baas born 1835 Netherlands.

The marriage record on wiewaswie.nl lists Nanno Baas born Oude Pekela married Johanna Frans born Oude Pekela, She was the daughter of Willem Harms Frans and Egberdina Gerardus Stuard, married 22 August 1878 Oude Pekela Groningen Neth. He was 42 and she was 46 when married, she was the widow of Juko Harms Sikkens.

(There was another reference to a Nanno Baas married to a Johanna Beers but she was born 1845. This makes the facts rather questionable. )
