Mrs. Baartman died suddenly of small pox and was buried the same day.. She was well know, highly respected. We sincerely sympathize with the relatives who feel the loss so keenly.

Died 6 May 1919 Capel Township Sioux County IA, husband was Peter Baartmen born 8 Jan 1847 Lekkerkerk North Holland Neth. Died 27 Aug 1910 Capel Tsp. Sioux County IA. Both are buried in Capel Township cemetery Middleburg IA. She was the mother of a large family. Her parents were Herbert Huisman 1827-1898 and her mother was Maria Ravestijn 1828-1906)
