Mrs. Andrew Elgersma was found dead by her husband about 6 A.M. Wednesday in their home. She had been sick with the flu but had been up that day and Mr. Elgersma with help of a neighbor, Sip Eisma, went out to fix fence on their farm east of Ireton. She was alone at the time of her death and had been gone two hours when discovered.

Funeral services were held at the Christian Reformed Church Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock following a brief service at the home. Reverend Peter Honderd, pastor of the Christian Reformed Church at Le Mars and had charge. Interment was made in Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Ireton.

Mrs. Andrew Elgersma, nee Nancy M. VanderZee was born in Koedam, Friesland, Netherlands March 18, 1898 and came to the United States in her youth. She was married to Andrew Elgersma May 18, 1917. Five children and her husband survive. The children are Mrs. Clarence De Vries and Miss Jennie Elgersma of Grand Rapids, Michigan, William Elgersma of Hawarden, Asa Elgersma of Des Moines and Bernard Elgersma of Baltic, South Dakota. There are three grandchildren.
