John Dykstra died last Thursday afternoon after suffering for about fifteen months with tuberculosis. Deceased was born twenty years ago at Monroe South Dakota, at which place he resided until five years ago when the family made this their home. John became ill in March and was soon after taken to Denver where he was cared for in the Agnes Memorial Sanitarium. After staying there seven months and not having been benefited, he returned home last fall and has since been gradually failing. Dr. and Mrs. Stadt took him into their home where he received the best of care. An impressive wervice was held at the Stadt home on Saturday morning, and on the noon train the remains were accompanied to Monroe South Dakota by the father of deceased, W. Dykstra, and three sisters, the Misses Effie, Ruth and Esther, and were laid to rest on Monday morning by the side of the mother who died eight years ago.
