In Loving memory of Ladene Marinellys Schreur Nelson May 16, 1937 – August 11, 2016.
Ladene Marinellys Schreur Nelson, age 79, died on Thursday August 11, 2016 at the Sunset Hospice Cattage in Worthington, MN. She was born May 16, 1937 the daughter of Theodore and Jeanette Bolluyt Schreur on the family farm near Maurice IA. Ladene met Donald at Scott School in the 8th grade. Ladene then cared for her mother who suffered a stroke shortly after she graduated from the 8th grade. She continued care for her mother an extended time until her death. Ladene was untied in marriage to Donald Nelson on August 28, 1955, at the United Methodist Church in Hawarden until November 1964. She moved with her family to Canby, MN them moved to Brewster, MN where she and Donald continued to raise four sons. She ran a daycare and taught Sunday school for several years.

Ladene is survived by her husband Donald of 60 years: Four son” Garry (Bonnie Boots) Nelson of Sauk Centre Mn, James (Deb Garoutte) Nelson of Brewster MN, Steven Nelson of Ankeny Ia and Kenneth Nelson of Worthington, MN; six grandchildren; Cassie (Kris) Anderson of Anoka, MN, Kate Nelson of Sleepy Eye MN, Ashley (Todd) Bellmyer of Thornton CO, Tyler Nelson of Des Moines, IA, Jemma Justin Jacobs of Madison SD and Jeremy (Kasey) Nelson of Willmar, Mn and five great grandsons: Wesley, Nolan and Layton Anderson, Braylon Nelson, and Reagan Nelson. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Evva Schreur Hamersma and one brother, Tunies J. Schreur.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, August 19, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at the Benson Funeral Home Chapel in Worthington, Mn, with Pastor Stuart Schreur officiating. Burial will be in the Hersey Cemetery near Brewster, Mn.
