THEODORE BRINK DIED SATURDAY

The community was shocked to learn of the death Saturday of Theodore S. Brink, son of Mr. and Mrs. J.A. Brink of Orange City, at the Sacred Heart Hospital, LeMars, after only a few days illness with spinal meningitis.

He was only 23 years and 8 months of age, with a promising career before him.

The young man is survived by his widow, Mrs. Dollie M. Brink, and eight weeks old daughter, Donna Fae.

"Ted", as he was known to his hundreds of friends, was bookkeeper and salesman for the Schaafs Hardware at Remsen and by his willing service and attractive disposition had many hundreds of friends in that community. He was a business man, of marked ability in the hardware trade.

He was born at Orange City May 18, 1907, and married Miss Dollie Mae Bean, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.O. Bean of Wadena, Minnesota, at Denison, Iowa, on October 12, 1926.

Their first child, Quinten, was born and died on May 19, 1929. Donna Mae, only child now living, was born November 9, 1930.

Ted is survived by six brothers and sisters, as follows: Joan A. Jr., Orange City; Ella Mae (Mrs. F. H. McDonald) Glendale, California: William Brink, Grand Island, Nebraska; Eben Brink, Council Bluffs, lowa; Roy Brink, LeMars, Iowa; Marion Brink, Orange City; Cornelia, Orange City; Marie (Mrs. W. Hylkema) Sioux City, Iowa; Harriet Leona, Orange City; and Bennett Lee, Orange City.

He was a member of the Christian Alliance, Sioux City. Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 6, at the Second Christian Reformed Church, Orange City, a great concourse of friends coming to honor the memory of the young man.

Reverend G. W. Hylkema, the pastor, conducted the services, assisted by the Reverend L. Bodie of the Christian Alliance, Sioux City. The Democrat joins with the host of other friends in sympathy.
