Mrs. Ike De Jong died unexpectedly June 2nd at her home, survived by her husband, 6 daughters and two sons. She(Grace) was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gysbert De Zeeuw and was born Jan. 5, 1889 at Sioux Center. She was married Feb. 17, 1909. to Ike De Jong and the family moved to Orange City in 1921.

The surviving children are Mrs. Jake Mantel, Mrs. Tim Bruxvoort, Tom, Mrs. Ted Hengeveld, Mrs. Peter Bylsma, Miss Gertrude, Gilbert, and Mrs. Henry Smeenk. Two sons and a daughter preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held June 5th at the First Christian Reformed Church with Rev. Hulst officiatingand burial in the local cemetery.Six nephews were pallbearers.
