Mr. Ralph E. Bos, 73, of Hull, Iowa, passed away Friday evening, January 15th, 1965. Mr. Bos had been in apparent good health during the day until he suffered a heart attack at his home in the late afternoon, which claimed his life.

Ralph E. Bos was born in Ackley, Iowa, on January 14, 1892, to Mr. and Mrs. Emory Bos. He spent most of his life in Hull, Iowa. He was married to Anne De Vries on June 9, 1931, and to this union three children were born, two of whom are still living.

Mr. Bos took an active part in the business of the community. For many years he was a bulk delivery man for the Standard Oil Company. He also operated a café in partnership with a cousin for a time, and in later years was a Post Office employee. He was the Assessor for the Town of Hull for some time. Mr. Bos, a veteran of World War I was a very active member and a past Commander of the American Legion Post at Hull. For the past several years he was the Post Historian. He was also a member of the Sioux Concert Band many years ago. Mr. Bos was a member of the American Reformed Church of Hull, Iowa.

He is survived by his wife, Anne, and two children, Ralph Jr. of St. Paul, Minnesota, and Beth, Mrs. Norman Kehrberg of Le Mars, Iowa, and three grandchildren. A sister, Mrs. Alex Bleeker of Castlewood, South Dakota, and a brother, Ray Of Watertown, South Dakota, also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and a son, Harlan J.

Funeral services were held at the American Reformed Church of Hull at 1:30 P.M. on Tuesday, January 19. The Reverend Harold C. Ringenoldus officiated. Pallbearers were Gordon Mackie, Casey Heyman, Albert De Wild, B.H. Beckman, William Oostenink and Harry Vander Schaaf. The special music was a duet by Mrs. Bert Koele and Mrs. Gerald Nettings. Interment was at Hope Cemetery. The Wegman-Koele Post was in charge of the military rites. Kraai Funeral Home of Hull was in charge of arrangements.

Ralph E. Bos Sr. passed away at his home suddenly Friday evening, January 15, at the age of 73 years and one day. He was a veteran of World War I.

Funeral services was held Tuesday from the American Reformed Church in Hull with Reverend Harold Ringenoldus officiating. Burial was in Hope Cemetery in Hull.

Surviving are his wife, Anna, one son, Ralph Jr. of St. Paul, Minnesota, one daughter, Mrs. Norman Kehrberg of Le Mars, three grandchildren, one brother, Ray of Watertown, South Dakota, one sister, Mrs. Alex Bleeker of Castlewood, South Dakota.
