This community was shocked by the sad news of the death of O. Heitritter, who died Tuesday afternoon at the home of his son, William, at Sheldon at the age of 75 years. Funeral services were held Thursday at the German Lutheran church at 11 o'clock. Rev. Sauerbrey conducted the services. Interment was made in the old family lot north of Boyden on one of the farms of the deceased. Mr. Heitritter, since the death of his wife two years ago, had made his home with his son, Herman, near Boyden on the old farm place and while visiting his son William and family in usual good health was taken critically ill with what was thought to be a rupture of one of the blood vessels in his head. Medical treatment was of no avail and death came gradually. Deceased was an old pioneer in this vicinity, being held as an industrious and upright farmer. Deceased is survived by four sons all of whom live in this vicinity. Matlock extends heartfelt sympathy to the sorrowing sons and other relatives.
