Sioux County Capital October 12, 1967
Funeral services were held at the Reformed Church of Caramel on Tuesday afternoon for Martin De Jager 57, who last his life Saturday evening when gored by a bull at his farm home. He passed away
soon after entering a Sioux City hospital. Rev. Brook Stephens officiated at the service and interment took place at the Carmel Cemetery under the direction of the Vander Ploeg funeral home.

Survivors include the widow, a son, Marvin, at home and five daughters, Gloria, at home, Mrs. William Riphagen and Mrs. Kenneth Winters of Sioux Center, Mrs. Harvey Kragt and Mrs, John Van Holland of Rock Valley, two sisters, Mrs. Envin Hooks and Mrs. Harriet Sprenkelink of Sioux City, and five brothers, Albert and Raymond of Morris, la., Andrew of Rock Valley, William of Beuna Park,
Calif., and Elmer of Norwalk, Calif. Also surviving are 18 grandchildren.
