Margery Elaine Brandenburg, 62, of Hawarden, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2016 at her residence in Hawarden.

The Porter Funeral Home in Hawarden is assisting the family. Condolences may be sent to www.porterfuenralhomes.com. There are no services planned at this time for Margery.

Margery Elaine Brandenburg was born November 4, 1953 in Irwin, Iowa. She graduated from high school and attended CNA training. Margery worked as a nurse’s aide in a nursing home in Manning, Iowa. She married Gene Brandenburg. Gene passed away 5 years ago. Margery moved to Hawarden, Iowa in May of 2015.

She was a happy-go-lucky person, with a creative sense of humor. She enjoyed spending time with her family, hunting, fishing, and working on cars.

Margery is survived by her son, Ryan Jacobson of Sheldon, Iowa; and two daughters, Barbie Ellard of Mitchellville, Iowa and Crystal Ellard of Denver, Colorado.
