Donna Rae Krogman, age 75, of Sheldon, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, June 9, 2016 at Sanford Medical Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, June 13, 2016 at 10:30 A.M. St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Sheldon. Father Siby Punnoose and Father Tim Hogan officiating.

Visitation will be Sunday, June 12, from 3:00 to 8:00 P.M. with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Sheldon. Catholic Daughters of America Rosary at 5:00 P.M. Scriptural Wake Service at 7:00 P.M.

Burial will be at a later date at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Ashton, Iowa.

In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials to St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Sheldon.

Donna Rae Krogman was born on June 6, 1941 in Alton, Iowa. She was the daughter of Antone and Anna (Pick) Pottebaum. She lived her youth in Alton where she attended St. Mary’s Academy and graduated from Spaulding High School. Donna attended Stewart School of Hairstyling in Sioux City, Iowa and worked as a hair stylist.
She was united in marriage to Kenneth Krogman of Ashton, Iowa on February 24, 1962 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alton. They lived in rural Ashton where they farmed for many years. Donna received a nursing assistance degree and worked at Sibley Nursing and Rehab in Sibley. Kenneth passed away on October 7, 2008.
Donna was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Sheldon and was very devoted to her church and her faith.
She enjoyed reading Christian books, dinner dates with friends, family get-togethers and especially being around her grandkids.
Donna will be remembered as a very loving and giving person.
She passed away on Thursday, June 9, 2016 at Sanford Medical Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
Those left to cherish her memories are her children: Stan and Stephanie Krogman of Ashton, IA, Lisa and Terry Cooper of Sheldon, IA, Carey Haugen of Sioux Falls, SD, Tammi and Steve Schultz of Sac City, IA, Nita and Richard Colan of Round Lake, MN; 9 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; 4 brothers: Ike and Carol Pottebaum of LeMars, IA, Ivan and Clair Pottebaum of Grandville, IA, Arlan and Marlene Pottebaum of Hospers, IA, Orville and Mary Ann Pottebaum of Alton, IA; 3 sisters: Berdella and Herb Schuller of Primghar, IA, Florence Thole of Alton, IA, Mary Ann and Art Walker of Florida; 2 sisters-in-law: Doris Pottebaum of Alton, IA and Jan Strouth of Orange City, IA.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Krogman; 5 sons: twins, Keith and Kevin Krogman, infant Ed Krogman, Duane Krogman and Lee Krogman; 2 sisters: Tarsella Probst and Bernice Block; 3 brothers: Howard Pottebaum, Eugene Pottebaum and Tony Pottebaum.
