Services held for Nancy De Bruyn,
Nancy De Bruyn was born at Hospers on December 2, 1893. She died July 4, 1969 after a life of service as a teacher, bookkeeper and other work. She is survived by one sister Cornelia of Hospers. The following brothers and sisters preceded her: Mrs. Jim Siersema of Pipestone, Minn.; Rev, J. C. De Bruyn of Grand Rapids, Mich.; Mrs. Ray Van Kalsbeek of Hospers; Mrs. Albert Toering of Bemis, So, Dak. Sam C. De Bruyn of Sheldon; Mrs. Dick Vanden Berg of Hospers; Mrs. Roy Romkema of Edgerton, Minn., and Mrs. C. Venema of Hospers.

Services were held at 1:30 in the Christian Reformed Church of Hospers on Monday, July 7, 1969. Rev. J. B, Hulst, officiating. Mrs. Morris Scholten, was organist. Special music was provided by a mixed quartet of Mrs. Charles Van Hofwegen, Mrs, Ron Van Kalsbeek, Irv Woudstra and Bill Van Surksum, singing "The Love of God" and John Waanders singing "Just As I Am". Casket Bearers were Willis Van Kalsbeek, Douglas Vanden Berg, Stanley Vanden Berg, Harlan Vanden Berg, Jerry Van Meeteren, and Ronald Oostra. Burial was in the Hospers Cemetery, arrangements by Vander Ploegs.
