Mr. and Mrs. Henry VanPeursem went to Sioux Center Thursday, to attend the funeral of Gertrude Boeyink daughter of Gerrit and Lena (De Pree) Boeyink.

The deceased was eight years old and a niece of Mrs. VanPeursen.

The hearts of Mr. and Mrs. Gerrit Boeyink are stricken with grief. Tuesday morning they were bereft of their 8-year-old daughter by death. The sickness was not of such a nature so that death had been expected. The bereaved ones have the sympathy of the entire community in their hour of sorrow.
