Child Dies From Meningitis
Cornelius Peter De Bie, eldest child of Mr. and Mrs. Adrian De Bie, residing four miles southeast of Hawarden, passed away about 10 o'clock Monday evening at the Sacred Heart hospital in LeMars where he had been a patient since April 12th. He had ben ill for about a week before he was
removed to the hospital. His death was attributed to meningitis.

The child was born July 8, 1935, so was not yet 5 years of age. Mr. and Mrs. De Bie have the sincere sympathy of many friends in the loss of their loved one. There are three younger children in the family. Funeral services will be held at 1 o'clock Friday afternoon at the Christian Reformed church in Hawarden, with Rev. A. Folkema in charge. Burial will be in the family lot at Lebanon,
