Mrs. Bridget A. Dealy Passed Away in Sioux City Last Week Mrs. Bridget A. Dealy. a pioneer of Sioux county and for a number of years a resident of Hawarden, passed away in a Sioux City hospital Wednesday afternoon, June 8th, following a long illness.

Funeral services were held at St. Mary's church in Maurice at 9 o'clock last Friday morning, conducted by Rev. John F. Curry, pastor of St. Boniface church in Sioux City, and interment was made in St. Mary's cemetery at Maurice. A number of old Hawarden friends attended the funeral service.

Mrs. Dealy was born in Newcastle, Pa., in 1856, so had reached the age of 76 years. She came to Sioux county with her parents in a covered wagon in 1873, being among the very early settlers of the county. In 1879 she was united in marriage with William Dealy and for many years they made their home on a farm in Reading township between Ireton and Maurice. About 911 they purchased a home in Hawarden and moved to this city, residing ere until 1918 when they moved to Sioux City. During their long residence in Sioux county Mr. Dealy served for many years as a member of the board of supervisors, establishing a record for length of service which has never been equaled. Most of the time he served as chairman of that body. He was appointed postmaster in Hawarden in 1915, retiring about three years later owing to ill health and lived by a short time after moving to Sioux City.

Mrs. Dealy is survived by eight children, Wm. Dealy, H. R. Dealy, Edward L. Dealy, Dr. D. M. Dealy, Joe L. Dealy and Mrs. Ethel Lynott, Nil of Sioux City; J. F. Dealy of Spokane, Wash., and Charles Dealy of Pipestone, Minn. She is also survived by thirteen Grandchildren and one great grandchild
