Funeral services were held Monday, March 7, at 1:30 p.m., at the Calvin Christian Reformed Church for Raymond Boer, 64, who died suddenly at his home Thursday.

The Reverend Leonard Van Frunen officiated. Burial was in Valley View Cemetery. Porter Funeral Home had charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Boer was born near Rock Valley on January 16, 1902. He married Adriana Groeneweg on February 21, 1924, at Rock Valley. He farmed in the Rock Valley area.

He was preceded in death by one son, Luverne, one brother, Henry, and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Boer.

He is survived by his widow, two sons, Peter, Rock Valley, Harold, Sioux Center; one daughter, Betty, Mrs. Oscar De Boer, Rock Valley; two brothers, Herman, Rock Valley, and John, Alton; two sisters, Mrs. Joe Smeenk, Orange City, and Mrs. Hubert Loverink, Rock Valley, and 14 grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Courtney Ethers, John Groeneweg, Bill Groeneweg, Richard Groeneweg, William Groeneweg and John Loverink.
