Funeral services for Rev. F. B. Mansen, 84, who died Saturday evening after suffering a heart attack, were held Wednesday afternoon at the First Reformed church here. Rev. H. Colenbrander officiated. Burial was in Orange City cemetery under direction of Van Etten funeral home.
Rev. Mansen was born September 6, 1871 at Vlachtwedde, The Netherlands. He came to the United States at the age of 16 and was ordained a minister of the Reformed church of America in 1902. He had been a clergyman nearly 54 years. He had been pastor in churches in Illinois, Kansas, and Iowa before retiring to Orange City In 1939. Since then he had served in various capacities. He served as pulpit supply church moderator and gave instructions in church catechism.

Survivors besides the widow are three sons, Bernardus of Oak Park, Ill. Rev. Theodore of Denison; Iowa and Rev. Albert J. of Friesland, Wis. and a daughter, Mrs. John (Alice) Wolf of Des Moines, IA.
